dietApp is a small, private wellbeing tracker built for a close group of friends. We take your data seriously and keep it to the minimum needed to run the app.
What we store
Your email address, an encrypted (hashed) password, and the things you choose to log — food, drinks, weight, exercise, mood, goals and notes. That’s it.
How we use it
Only to show you your own progress, send the emails you’ve opted into (daily summary, weekly and monthly reports, gentle reminders), and — if you join a group — share progress as a percentage with your group members. Your actual weight is never shared. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Only you, and — for the limited group figures above — people in groups you choose to join. We use trusted providers to run the service (hosting, email delivery, and AI models that help interpret what you log); they process data only to provide the service.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access is protected by login. You can delete any entry at any time from the History page.
Your choices
You can stop the emails, delete your entries, or ask us to delete your account and all associated data entirely — just get in touch by replying to any dietApp email.
